Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in residential mortgage servicing or residential mortgage servicing compliance
- Experience directly related to mortgage compliance technology products and services, including knowledge of loan servicing systems and residential mortgage loan documents
- Strong or working knowledge of GSE, agency and investor requirements
- Strong or working knowledge of mortgage servicing regulations including RESPA, TILA, FDCPA, and FCRA
- If requesting telecommuting – experience working in a telecommuting environment required
- Strong knowledge of mortgage business operational processes
- Detailed analytical abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel
- The person in this position should be articulate, detail-oriented, a collaborator, and team player
- Possess the ability to work under stressful situations when necessary
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate business level adherence to regulatory requirements, agency guidelines, and GSE guidelines.
- Analyze product development features to identify items that have potential regulatory or agency or GSE guideline impact and monitor to final disposition.
- Perform periodic monitoring and testing to confirm compliance with ICE MT policies and procedures.
- Represent ICE MT as a participant in industry discussions with trade associations related to regulatory changes.
- Evaluate new and proposed servicing regulations and provide recommendations to operationalize external requirements within ICE MT products and services.
- Work with product teams to assess implementation of regulatory and guideline changes and monitor to ensure that ICE MT meets the compliance date.
- Manage the process to capture, monitor, analyze and resolve client-reported system issues that could impact a client’s ability to comply with Federal consumer financial law.
- Determine the appropriate disposition and risk rating for client-identified and internally-identified system issues with regulatory impact.
- Proactively identify and monitor compliance risks within ICE MT products and services.
- Prepare management reporting focusing on critical and high-risk compliance items.
- Present the Compliance Program processes and procedures for client due diligence requests.
- Execute the Compliance Program monitoring and testing processes to identify potential regulatory risks.
- Identify potential regulatory issues affecting ICE MT products and services and draft quarterly regulatory updates for review and distribution.
- Assist with compliance product assessments.
- Review marketing materials and publications for potential regulatory and compliance risks.
- Maintain internal compliance documentation.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Compliance.
- Decision making for this position is dependent upon the revision/addition for specific system rules/development or documents. Heavily impacting decisions regarding system changes should come as communications from the Product Manager, Senior Director of Compliance, Product Counsel, or Product Attorneys.
