Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience in commissioning and project management
- Post-secondary degree in engineering, ideally with major in electrical
- Any (or combination) of BCxP/CCP/CBCP/CEM/LEED AP designations is considered an asset
- P.Eng/PE or PMP designation is considered an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Project, Word, and Excel
- Proficiency with commissioning software
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and report against contractor (and other third party) schedule updates received
- Experience working in a consultancy or owner organization is an asset
Responsibilities
- Understand Security, Communications, Mechanical, and Electrical equipment/systems and associated commissioning activities
- Have fluency with all commissioning processes and deliverables covered in ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED commissioning requirements
- Monitor, review, and execute all facets of Commissioning related projects by providing exceptional technical and managerial expertise
- Liaise with team members, outside consultants and contractors to assist CBA in leading cross functional teams on various projects
- The candidate will protect JLL’s contractual position and ensure our work meets contracted requirements
- Manage or jointly manage commissioning projects
- Carry out field-based commissioning activities, including: Site visits, Start-up and test witnessing, Functional Testing, Integrated Systems Testing
- Perform Commissioning Design Drawing & Specification Reviews, as well as Submittal (shop drawing) reviews
- Chair Commissioning Meetings
- Prepare Pre-functional checklists
- Prepare Functional Test Forms
- Prepare Integrated Systems Test Forms, including CAN/ULC S1001 Test Plans
- Have fluency/understanding with how to use calibrated testing equipment used in the commissioning process (flow hoods, anemometers, pitot tubes, IR cameras, various meters, etc.)
- Develop, track and resolve issues using an Issues Log
- Understanding of how to develop and execute seasonal/performance tests
- Ability to develop/review training programs for installed equipment and systems
- The candidate will manage, front to back, all of the project documentation requirements
- The candidate will manage, front to back, all of the field activity components
Preferred Qualifications
