Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Legal, Finance, Business, Technology or a BA/BS in a related field with relevant professional experience
- 8-10+ years’ relevant experience in technology contracting, which includes risk awareness/mitigation, negotiations, deal and contract structuring
- 5+ years post-award contract management support
- Must be collaborative, able to communicate well, work well with others from many different functions, be responsive in fast-paced environments, be risk aware with ability propose mitigations, be solution-oriented, team mentality, ownership mentality, and interested in building effective business relationships
- Can make decisions to navigate ambiguous circumstances
- Experience working with virtual teams globally
- Experienced in leading global multi-service stream ITO and BPO deals >$20m
- Ability to use or learn Teams, collaboration tools, CLM tools
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with business units and interfaces with customers to negotiate and draft contracts, terms and conditions of business, with wide-ranging and cross-functional application of knowledge
- Works collaboratively with sales pursuits teams to review and prepare complex, specialized and/or non-routine responses for proposals, bids, and contract modifications
- Analyzes significant, and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions for compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business unit procedure
- Informs negotiation strategy and supports negotiations
- Create sound commercial and financial structure and risk balance for deals
- Document technical, delivery and commercial risk associated with the deal, with ability to create summaries for leadership awareness
- Provides guidance to account management for contractual opportunities to improve revenue, profits and/or risk exposure for the account
- Works with finance managers and Solution Architects to ensure assumptions or obligations that would impact solution, pricing, or margins are understood and documented
- Provides guidance to account leadership on contractual rights and obligations
- Provides contract related interpretations and facilitates inputs needed from other subject matter advisors
- Works with internal legal counsel to provide advice on contract provisions, content and risk management for business development, new commercial relationships and other business activity
- Interprets contractual terms and conditions and guides supported teams and management to ensure their understanding and agreement
- Engages with sales, marketing, product, customer care, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination on contract and related matters
- Advises stakeholders on risk identification and mitigation within the commercial context
- Provides guidance and interpretation to sales and other stakeholders (i.e., finance, product, support) on contractual rights, obligations, risk assessment and clarification of agreed terms and conditions
- Provides transparency and awareness to leads and leadership
- Adoption of CLM
