Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of procurement or supply chain experience in a health care environment and/or higher education institution required
- OR Associate’s Degree and 4 years of procurement experience in a health care environment and/or higher education institution required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Responsible for procuring goods, equipment, and services
- Prepare purchase orders for approval after achieving defined approval process
- Verify specifications of purchase orders are in compliance with existing contracts/agreements
- Confirm contractual pricing and notify appropriate staff of pricing discrepancies
- Daily order management, handling confirmations, replenishing inventories, notifying contract teams of changes to products and assisting in the resolution of pricing and product issues
- Coordinate the day to day activities of the Buyers
- Serve as a liaison between those we are privileged to serve and suppliers, building and maintaining strong relationships with those we are privileged to serve
- Coordinate and collaborate with various Departments and affiliates for their input
- Expedite, cancel/defer, and ensure that purchase orders are aligned to support the needs of those we are privileged to serve
