Requirements

  • 4-6 years of professional experience, with a deep understanding of the private equity/venture capital and e-commerce sectors.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; proven experience articulating sales and business operations, and strategy-related concepts to all audiences, including C-level executives.
  • High proficiency with Salesforce, Google Apps, and Microsoft (Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to shift priorities quickly while maintaining a high degree of organization and control.
  • Fast learner and multi-tasker who can prioritize and balance multiple projects at the same time.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a strong executive presence by effectively engaging with senior-level executives, showcasing expertise in e-commerce, retail, and venture capital, particularly emerging technologies supporting these fields.
  • Build lasting relationships with executives based on mutual value creation.
  • Lead panels, give toasts, and deliver internal presentations confidently. Adapt and learn quickly through observation and experience.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions to evolve the Digital Executive Network (DEN), involving the right stakeholders and using data and metrics to inform strategic direction.
  • Develop and launch innovative programs that resonate with DEN members, maintaining a customer-centric approach.
  • Responsible for DEN Membership Growth and WKND Pipeline Development: Excel in DEN intro calls, master the DEN and Wunderkind pitches, and integrate them seamlessly.
  • Develop and implement effective cold and warm outreach strategies.
  • Create a vision for transitioning the DEN to an inbound-based network, fostering ongoing connections between DEN members and Wunderkind representatives throughout their lifecycle.
  • Utilize personalized touchpoints to keep members engaged, organizing notes and prioritizing interactions to scale this approach across 1,000+ contacts.
  • Share relevant articles and insights with members based on their interests.
  • Liaise between various internal teams, including Sales/Commercial, Marketing (events, content, product), Rev Ops, IT, and Strategic Alliances, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Source and maintain partners and sponsors for the DEN, ensuring mutual value for VC partners, PE partners, vendor partners, and executive search partners.
  • Lead the ideation and execution of both virtual and in-person events, including travel to target cities or conferences. Take ownership of events, manage delegation of administrative and operational tasks, and ensure the best possible group of attendees.
  • Build proficiency in tools like AirTable, Salesforce, Salesloft, Hubspot, Notion, etc., becoming the go-to person for managing each system.
  • Identify and lead IT through custom integrations, and independently learn through resources such as YouTube tutorials.
  • Leverage data points to assess performance against KPIs and report back to leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of prior cold outreach experience preferred.
  • Experience in a client-facing business development role at a fast-growing enterprise SaaS company is a plus.
