Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the role of a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst within financial services projects.
- Expertise in analyzing business problems, proposing data-driven solutions, and presenting insights in a structured, compelling manner.
- Strong requirements management skills with experience leading diverse stakeholders through requirements gathering, elicitation techniques, and documentation.
- Proficiency in business process modeling, requirements documentation, and user story mapping.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills to lead requirements gathering, deliver complex information in a structured manner, and facilitate inclusive discussions for diverse audiences.
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills to build strong partner relationships and influence outcomes.
- Agile delivery experience, including supporting Agile routines, product backlog grooming, sprint planning, and writing effective user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Experience supporting quality assurance through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Post Implementation Verification (PIV).
- Proficiency with business analysis tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Tableau, Mural) to enhance collaboration and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Manage requirements planning, elicitation, documentation, and validation processes, ensuring traceability and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create or modify business process maps following RBC standards. Identify opportunities or gaps and make recommendations for improvement.
- Gather, consolidate, and analyze relevant data from various sources to provide meaningful insights that support business decisions and project direction.
- Align with the product owner and participate in Agile routines, supporting backlog management, user story writing, sizing, and prioritization.
- Identify and prioritize stakeholder requirements, ensuring effective onboarding and communication of project direction. Build trust through reliability and transparency, facilitating negotiations and managing conflict resolution.
- Utilize and promote the adoption of key enterprise tools and technology such as Jira, Confluence, and Mural. Apply RBC Enterprise Business Analysis policy, standards, frameworks, and artifacts.
- Collaboratively build robust test plans and artifacts for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Post Implementation Verification (PIV).
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and gaps in business processes, leveraging methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and Design Thinking to drive improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant college, university, and/or post-graduate degree in Business Analysis.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Professional in Business Analysis (PMI – PBA) Certification or Masters Certificate in Business Analysis.
