Requirements
- M.S. degree in a biological science field
- 5 years of practical experience in molecular biology
- Practical knowledge of nucleic acid-based assay development and reagent production
- At least 2 years of experience in reagent production
- At least 2 years of experience in aspects of laboratory and quality management such as supply procurement, and laboratory maintenance, writing and revising SOPs and quality documents, guide and direct junior technicians, independently work on research and production projects, including data analysis, troubleshooting, and contributing to report writing
- Experience working on methods for the production and testing of reagents in a clean laboratory under an ISO 17034/17025 Quality Management System
- Must currently possess or be able to pass all criteria for a Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Supports research and development, reagent production and quality management of molecular diagnostics, including, but not limited to production of real-time polymerase chain reaction assays, molecular assay development and platform test and evaluation, provide and evaluate proficiency testing for biological threats, laboratory and field support for biological threat agent detection.
