Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in testing and evaluating electrochemical systems (e.g., batteries, capacitors, fuel cells, catalysts)
- Strong data analysis and statistical analysis capabilities to turn data into actionable insights (JMP, Python are a plus)
- Bias-to-action to root cause and prevent product failures, leveraging failure prediction and investigation methods, such as FMEA and RCA
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills with diverse set of stakeholders
- Ability to independently create and advance experiments with attention to detail
- BS, MS, or PhD in in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials engineering or related field
Responsibilities
- Drive experimental design, testing, and analysis to validate electrode performance, durability, and reliability requirements both as an independent product and as part of a full electrochemical cell.
- Develop new methods (such as accelerated testing), support development of new test vehicles, and troubleshoot cell testing issues
- Identify performance gaps between product testing and lab-scale electrochemical data, and implement measures to close those gaps
- Support product risk assessments (e.g. failure modes and effects analyses), and lead risk reduction and mitigation efforts.
- Develop mechanistic understandings, by incorporating materials characterization with electrochemical data analysis.
- Work with suppliers and our quality team to create scalable electrochemical quality acceptance tests.

- JMP, Python are a plus
