Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience in a fast paced tech environment
- Strong programming skills for hands-on IC work; previous working experience in Python
- Experience working in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience using and improving CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend services for a multi-modal content recommendation system that powers the Yahoo homepage
- Architect and build end-to-end features across data pipelines and online serving in GCP
- Drive technical excellence for the News Ranking system by participating in regular on-call & improving team’s operational rigor
- Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on Ranking, Recommendation or Search systems.
