Requirements
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related field or 10 years of relevant experience
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
- Thorough understanding of software development processes and best practices, modern DevOps principles and continuous delivery
- Proven experience in building large, reliable, scalable distributed systems
- Strong experience with modern programming languages. Java is a must (experience (or at least interest) with Scala is a big plus)
- Strong experience with core web technologies
- Proven experience in architecting scalable backend systems
- Hands on experience with GraphQL is a big plus
- Past experience with live commerce is a big plus
- Experience with web (javascript/nodejs) and/or native (Android, iOS) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with peers, product managers, business analysts and operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet functional and non-functional standards and expectations
- Work across multiple eBay domains
- Be involved in the entire development process — from design to release, actively participate in code and ADR reviews and help the team build the forward-looking, modern platform
- Triage and debug production issues
- Mentor junior team members
