Requirements
- 3+ years experience working within venture capital, investment banking, strategy consulting, or a high-growth startup; software investing experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, communication, and analytical skills
- High autonomy with a track record of ideating and executing cross-functional projects and partnerships
- A demonstrated passion for startups/entrepreneurship and emerging technologies
Responsibilities
- Conduct the sourcing and due diligence of venture capital investments, including competitive research, financial analysis, and memo composition
- Research and develop theses and insights about the B2B software market, identifying shifts and evolving trends in the HubSpot ecosystem, as well as their implications for the business
- Work cross functionally within HubSpot to envision and drive partnerships between our portfolio companies and HubSpot
- Develop strong relationships with entrepreneurs and the broader venture ecosystem of VC investors & accelerators/incubators
- Interface with startup management teams and cross-functional HubSpot executives, including product, engineering, legal, and finance
- Support and lead projects to improve HubSpot Ventures’ operations, portfolio benefits, external events, and communications
