Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in fund administration, fund accounting, or a related financial services role, with exposure to expense processing and accounts payable functions.
- Familiarity with mutual fund operations, including fund launches, mergers, liquidations, and conversions, particularly from an expense and budgeting perspective.
- Experience assisting with or coordinating projects; ability to manage assigned tasks and timelines effectively within a team structure.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate information sharing and expectation setting.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and technology.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; able to research and resolve routine issues independently, escalating more complex matters as needed.
- Willingness to work onsite at least 6 days per month.
Responsibilities
- Support client projects such as conversions, fund/class launches, mergers, deconversions, and liquidations, specifically related to accounts payable, accruals, and budgeting processes.
- Collect, review, and analyze financial data to assist with tasks such as budget tracking, payment reconciliations, expense ratio monitoring, ledger entries, and variance analysis.
- Maintain and update internal accounts payable systems and back-end setups, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project and client requirements.
- Research and resolve issues related to invoice processing in a timely and accurate manner; escalate and support resolution of more complex issues when necessary.
- Assist with the development and documentation of accounts payable policies, procedures, and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with technology teams and internal partners on initiatives aimed at enhancing systems or processes to better meet the needs of the business and our clients.
