Requirements
- Computer use and software – Microsoft Word, Excel.
- Math Skills.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.

- Must be able to drive, have a valid New Mexico Commercial Driver’s license, liability insurance, insurability under the agency insurance carrier, dependable vehicle and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol test.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in loss prevention, asset protection, or corporate security, preferably in retail.
- Strong working knowledge of camera surveillance, alarm systems, and investigative techniques.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to partner with law enforcement and external agencies
- Strong ability to work independently and make high-pressure decisions.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support the training and development of the Asset Protection team to ensure alignment with Goodwill’s mission and operational goals.
- Investigate and resolve internal/external theft and fraud incidents, including interviewing, reporting, and collaborating with law enforcement.
- Maintain security technology, including cameras, access controls, alarm systems, and incident reporting systems.
- Conduct audits on cash handling, inventory, and employee transactions to identify fraud or procedural violations.
- Recommend, develop and implement, upon approval, strategies to mitigate loss, including training programs for staff on security awareness.
- Support emergency response efforts, including burglaries, fire alarms, and safety incidents.
- Partner with HR and store management to ensure compliance with loss prevention policies and procedures.
- Assist in procurement for asset protection-related equipment and supplies.
- Ensures HIPAA compliance.
- Supports the safety efforts for all persons served and staff.
- Support compliance with CARF standards.
- Assist in implementing CARF standards into all programs and follows professional ethics as set in the Code of Conduct/Business Ethics policy.
- Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
