Requirements

  • BS / ME / EE / IE / B Eng. degree in engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ year’s relevant Metal Forming or Stampings experience
  • Proven experience in leading complex manufacturing projects
  • Excellent Problem-solving skills (Lean and/or six-sigma certifications a plus)
  • Working Knowledge of: Core – non-core evaluation, Capacity and utilization analysis, Cost Analysis, including Make vs. Buy, New Products Introductions, Total Productive Maintenance, Capital Investment Management, Facility relocations (Greenfield, Brown Field, Relocation, Decommissioning)
  • Operations Management, Project / Program Management
  • Advanced Data Analytics and Analysis
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and digital manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Lead/Support facility (consolidations/start-ups) / product / process transitions and process optimization
  • Lead/Support large capital investment initiatives within operations, including the identification, evaluation, and business case justification of new technologies.
  • Lead/Support Americas manufacturing strategy, including transition and footprint initiatives, create and maintain capacity and utilization plans.
  • Partner with manufacturing facilities to enable them to run more efficiently.
  • Support leverage of core manufacturing process groups.
  • Support, develop and implement fabrication processes with appropriate automation.
  • Support manufacturing/operations through process digitization, manufacturing 4.0 implementations
  • Ensure new products are released with adequate levels of manufacturability, participates in critical NPD projects.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions by properly evaluating target risks within operations.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to implement make vs. buy processes, assessments, and/or playbooks.
  • Understand and anticipates trends within manufacturing to implement new technology/capability as needed.
  • Act as a champion of Total Productive Maintenance across machinery, tooling, and facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Mechanical, Control or Aerospace background preferred
  • 3+ year’s Operations/Quality/Engineering experience preferred
