Responsibilities
- Acting as a strategic business partner to Discord’s Chief Business Officer, Jules Shumaker, and supporting 2 of her Directors
- Maintaining our CBO’s calendar, and making recommendations in regard to time management, prioritization, and needs of the business
- Ensuring the CBO is prepared for upcoming meetings, presentations, conferences, and projects by proactively gathering the necessary materials
- Contributing to team and org meetings and onsites by assisting and sometimes leading the planning, taking notes, and ensuring action items are completed
- Finding new and efficient ways to help maximize our CBO’s time, particularly acting as a ‘goalie’ for their calendar who ruthlessly prioritizes their meeting requests
- Working with our travel and events teams, you’ll book domestic and international travel, ensuring travel policies are followed and proper documentation is acquired (visas, conference passes, etc). Occasionally, you may travel with the CBO for large conferences
- Partnering with several internal departments to ensure cross-functional alignment on projects and internal events
- Processing all expenses for the CBO and assisting with procurement requests as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Highly proficient in G-Suite, notably GCal and GMail
- 5+ years of work experience in an administrative support role, particularly VP+ roles within a Business or Sales org
- Experience with Asana, Notion, and Discord
- Prior experience working in a hyper-growth environment
- Prior experience working in a gaming company or startup
