Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent with major in accounting required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
  • Six (6) years accounting and financial reporting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, regulations and practices
  • Obtain and maintain expertise of financial systems such as SAP and other systems utilized in the consolidations of the company’s financial statements
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical and interpretive skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies

Responsibilities

  • Completes entries and reconciliations associated with the global consolidation process, including by not limited to, currency translations and intercompany eliminations.
  • Assists management in the research of global generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and international financial reporting standards (IFRS) requests/questions from investors and executive management.
  • Ensures global consolidated balance sheets and income statements are consolidated and reconciled monthly within published deadlines and stated in accordance with GAAP.
  • Monitors changes in GAAP reporting requirements and works closely with management to ensure accurate GAAP presentation of the company’s global financial statements.
  • Monitors and maintains compliance of company’s consolidations policies, procedures and internal controls.
  • Assists management in the research and explanation of global monthly budget variances and prepares monthly budget variance reporting as required by management.
  • Responsible for preparation of GAAP monthly financial analysis, cash flow statement, and other ad hoc financial and accounting projects as assigned.
  • Monitors and maintains compliance with company policies, procedures and internal controls.
  • Communicates issues and other applicable information to management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supports the organization’s quality program(s).
  • Travels as required.
