Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related) required
- 6 yrs accounting experience required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Active or Inactive) (AR) (License) – Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy
Responsibilities
- Ensures month end closing schedule is completed on schedule to meet financial packet review and mail out deadlines.
- Analyzes general ledger activity and reports unusual variances to management.
- Ensures accuracy of general ledger and related financial statements on a month end and fiscal year end basis.
- Prepares year end schedules and analysis for independent auditors, making sure all account balances are correct and no audit adjustments are necessary.
- Works with external auditors and provides information in a timely manner to assist in maintaining the audit schedule.
- Prepares and manages special projects, utilizing resources and delegating responsibilities as needed to complete the project.
- Researches and resolves questions or concerns of users to determine impact on financial information or to determine if action should be taken to correct.
- Prepares budget schedules and provides assistance with overall budget process as requested.
- Prepares monthly and quarterly schedules and analysis for management.
- Acts as key contact for areas requiring specialized knowledge of information and processes.
- Tests system upgrades and enhancements related to job duties.
- May lead and/or mentor other accounting personnel. Provide input on interviews, orientations, performance and counseling.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
