Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2-4 years of professional experience as an Accountant or related role
- CPA required
- Professional experience with conducting financial audits
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with NetSuite general ledger systems and Concur to prepare financial reports
- Experience completing regulatory reporting requirements
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high degree of visibility into the workings of the firm
- Monitor cash receipts for completeness and follow up on outstanding revenue items
- Maintain the books and records of Magnetar’s management company entities
- Participate in audits throughout the year
- Prepare annual financials, quarterly reporting and work with the team to provide necessary audit support
- Coordinate with other groups within Management Company Finance and the firm to produce deliverables and create efficiency in internal processes
- Assist in the preparation of annual and quarterly reporting including any necessary filings, including a NY Commercial Rent Tax Return, Use Tax Filing, UK VAT filing with HRMC and other Passthrough and State Tax filings etc.
- Develop reporting as needed and provide to management on a regular basis
- Various other tasks as needed, including ad-hoc analysis
