Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in equipment or technology sales, engineering, and/or energy efficiency OR
- 6+ years experience in equipment or technology sales, engineering, and/or energy efficiency
- Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
Responsibilities
- Help customers and trade allies understand and maximize the benefits of our energy efficiency programs and incentives.
- Work closely with end-users, dealers, and contractors to explain efficiency measures and assist with the enrollment process.
- Travel to meet with contractors, vendors, and customers, providing hands-on support and building strong relationships.
- Build and maintain an account base that achieves current year savings and develops a robust pipeline for the following year.
- Deliver high-quality customer service to ensure repeat business and long-term satisfaction.
- Educate customers and trade allies on energy efficiency programs and incentives.
- Collaborate with end-users, dealers, and contractors to explain efficiency measures and assist with enrollment.
- Travel to meet with contractors, vendors, and customers, providing hands-on support.
- Build and maintain an account base to achieve current year savings and develop a pipeline for the following year.
- Deliver high-quality service to ensure repeat business and long-term satisfaction.
- Identify energy efficiency opportunities for multifamily properties.
- Facilitate participation in energy efficiency programs.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with property owners, managers, and contractors.
- Help customers achieve their energy savings goals.
- Ensure a high standard of customer service throughout the process.
- Help lead a team of account managers, which includes training and mentoring junior staff.
- Develop and implement sales strategies as well as help prepare persuasive presentations with account management team.
- Perform quality assurance reviews of submitted projects for approval.
- Direct oversight of program budgets and tracking & reporting Key Performance Indicators.
- Review program performance towards goals on a regular basis including program forecasting.
- Assist in the direct support of client outreach, meetings and ad hoc requests including 1-on-1 monthly client meetings. Bring forth consolidated information from the AM team to help the client better understand challenges and opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise with energy efficiency and U.S. policies for residential energy programs
- Knowledge of energy efficient building practices, energy codes and technologies
- Strong leadership and management skills to help grow and lead a team
- Ability to apply detailed knowledge of organizational procedures to make independent decisions and serve as a credible resource for a senior management team
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
- Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients, homebuilders, HERS raters, architects, and other trade ally organizations
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Experience developing recommendations and solutions to overcome challenges
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn ICF energy efficiency database/project tracking system
