Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Public Administration, or a related field of study or equivalent education and experience
  • 4 years’ experience managing and coordinating academic programs and projects
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems; experience with Workday is highly desirable
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Oversees essential academic programmatic and operational functions for the Center for Computing Education and the Community, Access, Retention, and Empowerment (CARE) Office
  • Lead, coordinate, and assist with designing and launching a multidisciplinary academic center and a cross-functional student academic success and retention office
  • Oversees multiple complex projects and creates and maintains processes to ensure the effective execution of educational, outreach, and research initiatives
  • As a member of the strategic planning team, be responsible for managing the logistics, facilitating financial operations, and engaging internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for class/course scheduling
  • Serves as initial intake to triage and evaluate student concerns and escalate to appropriate parties for resolution if warranted
  • Collaborates with academic advisors as needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Public Administration, or a related field of study or equivalent education and experience
  • 6 years’ experience managing and coordinating academic programs and projects
