Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Public Administration, or a related field of study or equivalent education and experience
- 4 years’ experience managing and coordinating academic programs and projects
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems; experience with Workday is highly desirable
- Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines
Responsibilities
- Oversees essential academic programmatic and operational functions for the Center for Computing Education and the Community, Access, Retention, and Empowerment (CARE) Office
- Lead, coordinate, and assist with designing and launching a multidisciplinary academic center and a cross-functional student academic success and retention office
- Oversees multiple complex projects and creates and maintains processes to ensure the effective execution of educational, outreach, and research initiatives
- As a member of the strategic planning team, be responsible for managing the logistics, facilitating financial operations, and engaging internal and external stakeholders
- Responsible for class/course scheduling
- Serves as initial intake to triage and evaluate student concerns and escalate to appropriate parties for resolution if warranted
- Collaborates with academic advisors as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Public Administration, or a related field of study or equivalent education and experience
- 6 years’ experience managing and coordinating academic programs and projects
