Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in technology or applicable experience.
- 10+ Years of experience with programming/scripting languages (Powershell, python, shell scripting)
- Extensive experience with: TCP/IP, DNS, CDN, HTTP, WAF, OAuth, SAML
- 3+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure as a service (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory/Entra and O365 services and technology
- 5+ years of experience with security platforms (EDR, XDR, WAF, FW, SEIM, SOAR, etc), automation tooling
- Collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills
- Experience in project management, systems design and integration.
- Desire to continuously develop your skills and knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of layered systems architectures and layered solutions and designs
- Consultative skills, including the ability to understand and assist in applying customer requirements, including drawing out unforeseen implications and making recommendations for design, the ability to define design reasoning, understanding potential impacts of design requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects.
- Lead and manage a Security Operations Team focused on maintaining the availability and performance of HUB’s mission critical suite of security applications.
- Available 24/7 for any critical system issues that may arise that require immediate resolution, providing leadership and direction to a multi-disciplinary IT team.
- Work with IT teams to ensure managed environments and procedures comply with defined corporate security policies.
- Lead the creation of information security operational frameworks that are scalable, consistent, repeatable, and supportable.
- In concert with the ITSM/Tooling manager monitor systems and application performance and system resource utilization and recommend strategies to aid and optimize security controls.
- Identify potential technical issues and assist in engineering possible solutions.
- Create a process to perform security tooling and policy platform reviews to promote continuous improvement in the organizations security tool set.
- Plan, organize, and execute multiple responsibilities to achieve project goals and provide technical leadership to move operational projects to completion.
- Engage with teams to practice continuous improvement in processes and tooling.
- Supervises assigned operations team members and performs personnel actions including hiring, individual goal tracking, training, performance evaluation.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology, bringing forth ideas for modernization and improvement.
