Requirements
- BA/BS or Master’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of work experience, including hands-on technical management, experience leading global security/investigative teams, and proven contribution at both strategic and operational levels
- 3+ years experience of people management and organizational leadership
- Experience working cross-functionally with security engineers, analysts, product, engineering, legal, policy, and public affairs
- Experience working with broad communities and global teams
- Knowledge of advanced persistent threat groups
- Experience in functional or scripting language (JavaScript, PHP, Python, OCaml, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Support a team of security engineers and threat investigators who discover, detect, investigate, and respond to threats from malicious actors
- Provide technical direction and guidance within the domain to team members
- Influence and align the organization’s vision and strategy while engaging your team to develop and deliver specific roadmaps and projects
- Ensure prioritization, resourcing, and timely delivery of this work within a changing business environment
- Coach, mentor, support, and care for the teams to enable long-term career development and success at scale
- Track operational metrics, key performance indicators, and team health to drive team performance
- Work with, partner, and influence other teams to solve challenges related to a broad spectrum of threat actors based on investigative findings and key intelligence
- Build, cultivate, and maintain productive relationships with internal partners to identify and facilitate solutions to increase the impact of the team’s work
- Identify and develop areas to scale aspects of our investigations
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of or experience in international and domestic terrorism issues, transnational criminal organizations, or state-sponsored cyber threat actors
- Experience querying large data sets and SQL
- Experience in crisis management or incident response environments
- Demonstrated interest in understanding the intersection of global security risks and technology, especially as it pertains to Meta
