Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and terminology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Eagerness to learn and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with common security tools or concepts (e.g., vulnerability scanners, firewalls, SIEM) is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist and shadow the Health Markets’ Business Information Security Officer (BISO) with day-to-day security activities.
- Observe the vulnerability management process, including vulnerability scanning, assessment, and support remediation analysis and tracking.
- Support risk & compliance activities as implemented within the Health Markets’ business. Review frameworks, requirements, and controls with technology teams and stakeholders.
- Learn about security architecture standards and how they guide secure system design and implementation.
- Gain familiarity with security tools used for monitoring, detection, and response, and assist in their configuration and reporting.
- Join meetings to shadow and deepen understanding of security concepts and industry best practices.
- Help prepare reports and documentation as commensurate with understanding of the security program.
- Shadow individuals to understand the application of the security program throughout the business.
Preferred Qualifications
