Requirements

  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • At least 6 months experience within the same or similar position with Four Seasons or other organization. Hotel or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Stock linen, china, and silver for service ensuring that all are polished and in good condition.
  • Clean soiled bar glassware and polish by properly utilizing the bar dish machine.
  • Greet guests in a professional manner, serve beverage and food items while explaining the contents, and anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are necessary.
  • Preparation of condiment and garnish items.
  • Assistance with guest service including retrieving food from the kitchen using a tray and safely transporting it to guest, as well as removal of items from the guest’s table.
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations.
  • To demonstrate through knowledge and ability, the execution of the service steps (i.e. filling water, clearing dishes, crumbing table etc.).
  • To keep side stations stocked with mis en place during service.
  • To be able to keep an accurate water book.
  • To be able to clear multiple plates according to proper procedures.
  • To help keep perfect table maintenance.
  • To offer service all guests in a manner which exceeds expectations.
  • To understand methods of preparation and presentation of all foods served.
  • To have a basic knowledge of the wine and beverages served in the Restaurant, Bar and Terrace.
  • To be vigilantly attentive to service details and product quality.
  • To collect food from the kitchen when required.
  • To make specialty coffees when required.
  • To assist in other Food and Beverage areas when requested to do so, as business volumes required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hotel or restaurant experience preferred.
