  • Master’s degree and 4 years of scientific experience or
  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of scientific experience
  • Expertise in liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry-based proteomics

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex proteomics workflows, including sample preparation, liquid chromatography, and mass spectrometry for both discovery and targeted approaches (e.g., TMT, PRM, label-free DDA & DIA) to support cell surface target discovery.
  • Use data processing software (e.g., Proteome Discover, Spectronaut, DIA-NN) and collaborate with the bioinformatics team for streamlined data sharing.
  • Work closely with scientists across functions, present analysis results to stakeholders, collaborate on data integration, and utilize external resources as needed.
  • Present research findings to colleagues, at scientific meetings (oral or poster presentations) and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Maintain detailed records of experiments, protocols, and analyses.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A technical understanding of mass spectrometry and data analysis for quantitative proteomic research, including DDA, DIA, TMT, PTM analysis, with an emphasis on proximity labeling and cell surface proteomics.
  • Demonstrated capability of troubleshooting and evaluating LC/MS performance.
  • A proven track record of scientific innovation and accomplishment in mass spectrometry and proteomics, as demonstrated by a strong publication record and conference presentations.
  • Experience in cell surface proteomic approaches including enrichment methods such as cell surface capture and photo catalytic proximity labeling.
  • Function optimally in a team-based or collaborative environment as part of a highly integrated team, possess excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to produce reliable and reproducible results.
  • Experience with automated sample handlers (e.g. Opentrons, Agilent Bravo AssayMAP, Kingfisher) or other high-throughput approaches.
  • Demonstrated capability of working with diverse sample types including cell lines, tissues (mass-limited), biofluids and FFPE.
