Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 1+ years of prior relevant experience in set and prop construction, theatre, fabric, and/or events design.
- Prior experience producing large sets/props, sculptures, or museum displays.
- Experience with artistic wood working, carpentry, CNC machining, or electrical design is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use design direction and specifications to fabricate décor treatments for room, ceiling, entry, stage and walls
- Use appropriate techniques and tools to paint, cut, sew, glue and assemble props to produce well developed, safe, quality decor
- Properly pack needed items for transport, unpack and check goods against orders and handle inventory to protect against damage
- Ensure that tools are maintained and areas used are left in a clean and orderly condition
- Stay current in design trends, production techniques and vendor products and share/train with teams to inspire creativity
- Lead crews in-studio or on installation and tear downs on selected events
- Participate in event installation/tear down and loading/unloading of vehicles as needed
- Create a positive work environment promoting creativity, collaboration, teamwork, recognition.
