Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Finance, Engineering (any), Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in a related quantitative occupation planning and executing electronic foreign exchange (FX) sales strategies within the financial services industry
- Defining sales strategies to roll-out new electronic/digital FX products for platforms, algorithms, APIs and their features
- Utilizing FX products, including spot, forwards, NDFs, swaps, options, bench, and algorithmic executions
- Reviewing FX and payments exchange controls and workflows in Latin American countries
- Identifying institutional client needs and working with banks, hedge funds, real money accounts, and internal stakeholders to provide best-in-class offerings for foreign exchange (FX) cash and derivatives products
- Analyzing data from financial information systems including Bloomberg to identify market catalysts, trends, and risks to produce in-depth analytical reports
- Developing automated tools to visualize analytics using Tableau and QlikView
- Analyzing electronic order management logic
Responsibilities
- Support the Institutional Electronic Foreign Exchange (FX) Sales effort for Citi’s Latin American region, including local and offshore flows on single and multi-dealer platforms
- Define and execute our Digital FX Sales strategy with Latin American Financial Institutions and for U.S. and International Financial Institutions in Latin America
- Analyze data related to Foreign Exchange electronic sales and trading to understand profit and loss and optimize pricing recommendations
- Apply mathematical and statistical techniques to address practical issues in Digital/Electronic Foreign Exchange including risk management, FX trading performance, pricing recommendations, order flow management
- Work with external clients, internal sales, product, and trading teams to grow electronic revenues and volumes
- Confer with traders on pricing and trading system performance to inform the development of quantitative techniques
- Perform distribution of Citi’s electronic liquidity in cash and derivative products to North American Institutional clients
- Achieve team targets including active users, revenues, and volumes
- Originate new business
- Roll out new products and solutions to clients and work closely with internal partners on strategic projects
- Articulate a plan to grow revenues, increase share of wallet, implement FX Digital Solutions, and improve efficiency
- Obtain client feedback, understand client needs, and work with various internal teams analyzing trading, product, developers, technology, credit, onboarding, and settlements to deliver best-in-class client coverage
- Collaborate with product development teams to research, model, validate, and implement new Digital Foreign Exchange products including new platforms, application programming interfaces (APIs) and algorithms
- Collaborate with cross functional teams (product development, trading, legal, compliance, finance, securities services, operations, independent risk, and controls groups) to reengineer processes and design new Foreign Exchange workflows for clients
- Remain apprised of changes in a dynamic, competitive marketplace and update internal resources on trends
