Requirements
- 8+ years experience in digital design (with an emphasis in sales narratives or go to market materials) ideally as a graphic designer or art director.
- Experience working with a publisher ad creative team, branded content studio, advertising agency, design studio or editorial publishing company.
- Skilled proficiency in working with Google Slides & Google Drive applications & Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and other key design platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – you can make a clear case for what you’re doing and why (especially to our executive leaders).
- Solid analytical, decision-making, time management and problem solving skills.
- Ability to use visual design cues to convey Yahoo’s brand personality while telling a compelling story that speaks to clients’ goals.
- Exceptional project management skills, particularly managing complex projects with stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Ability to simplify complex information and familiarity with data visualization.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the high-level owner of our sales Go To Market materials look & feel, informed by our marketing team’s look & feel, but adapted for client-facing sales needs.
- Serve as the designer for key priority Yahoo Ads narratives defined by leadership.
- Develop advanced template slides that our team of narrative leads can leverage when developing client vertical narratives or capabilities slides, and when necessary, serve as the final draft designer for these key materials.
- Develop advanced template slides strategists can borrow from when developing RFP responses.
- Develop novice template slides ADs can use for tailored client prospecting needs.
- Lead training sessions to empower team’s main slide builders to level up their design skills, and train novice slide builders on how to find & leverage templates.
- Support the team’s operational excellence through process documentation, recording demos, or building FAQs that can strategically help everyone build great slides.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive adoption of materials and design guidelines.
- Continuously monitor and analyze the materials our team is taking to market, & distill findings into actionable design tips & scalable approaches.
Preferred Qualifications
- Product/UX and Ad Mock experience a bonus
