Requirements
- BS/BA Degree in related area (not required but preferred)
- 5 plus years directly related experience in the food and beverage industry
- Understanding of the core distributor strategic label value proposition
- Negotiation, insight-selling, presentation, communication, analytical, planning, and measurement skills in the food and beverage industry
- Food Broker Sales Agency experience required
- Ability to travel 50% of the time
Responsibilities
- Finding new growth channel customers and managing core retail customer accounts
- Meeting assigned account(s)’s annual volume plan, profit plan, and quarterly forecast
- Leveraging Saputo’s full portfolio of products and services to introduce new value-creating ideas to customers
- Collaborating with customers and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
- Overseeing category management initiatives at the region and customer level
- Providing competitive market intelligence and feedback on new product launches
- Conducting quarterly business reviews with assigned customers
- Planning, executing, closing, and following up on negotiations
- Negotiating field-based sales trade strategies and marketing programs
- Maintaining clear communication with Sales Operations on opportunities and challenges
- Maximizing sales margins by monitoring/assisting with A/R, credit issues, deductions, samples, etc.
- Developing and managing trade plans for fiscal year
Preferred Qualifications
- Saputo and/or cheese and dairy product knowledge preferred
- Manufacturing experience preferred
