Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Must be at a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age
  • IRATA and or SPRAT Level 2 certification required
  • Global Wind Organization – Basic Safety Training (GWO BST) required; NPFA 70 is preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License and pre-access drug and alcohol testing required
  • Pre-employment MVO and Criminal background checks will be required
  • Ability and willingness to travel to job sites as needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform advanced rope access tasks for mechanical repairs, routine maintenance, and tower cleaning
  • Supervise and mentor Level 1 technicians, ensuring safe practices and efficient workflows
  • Conduct detailed inspections of structures and components, identifying maintenance needs or safety concerns
  • Perform maintenance, such as lubrication of moving parts, bolt torque checks, and replacement of minor components
  • Assist in planning and coordinating daily tasks with site supervisors or project managers
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records for all completed work
  • Adhere to all company and industry safety standards, including proper PPE use and fall protection procedures
  • Conduct and assist with Job Site Analysis (JSA) and hazard assessments on-site
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with rope access works
  • Work closely with rope access level 3 team leaders to ensure work is completed on schedule and meets quality standards
  • Assist in training and mentoring Tech 1 technicians on basic tasks and safety protocols
  • Act as a reliable team member, contributing to the success of the project
  • Provide detailed reports of inspections and repair tasks to supervisors
  • Maintain logs for personal and team certifications, equipment use, and blade condition data

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient rope access techniques and working in outdoor conditions is preferred but is not required
