Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- RN- Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
- American Heart Association BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
- ACLS
- NIHSS certification
- 2 years of recent CVICU/Post Open Heart experience
- 2 years of current PICC experience
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the operations of the patient care area for the shift and manages the patient flow
- Applies nursing process and theories in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care utilizing evidence based practices
- Assigns patient assignments to RNs, C.N.A.s, Nurse Externs, and other team members to areas / units within the hospital
- Prepares patient or geographic assignments utilizing Relationship Based Care
- Participates in the hiring process, performance reviews and disciplinary process of team members on ACM respective unit
- Strives for quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the Florida Nursing Practice Act and the Hospital/departmental policies
- Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under direction
- Effectively uses and role models current leadership techniques and theories
- Ensures that information disseminated to staff is monitored for effectiveness and changed as needed
- Understands and enforces hospital and personnel policies and procedures
- Serves on hospital and Patient Care Services committees, teams, and work groups as requested
- Performs other duties as assigned
