Requirements
- Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
- American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Provider
- American Heart Association ACLS
- NIHSS Stroke Scale
- Strong experience with IV placement
- Critical care experience (i.e., ICU, ED, PCU, Interventional/Cath Lab, Endoscopy, OR/PACU) preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, BSN preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist all modalities in Radiology: Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI, X-Ray, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound
- Act as educator to peers, patients, and families
- Collaborate with Radiologists in planning patient care
- Function in pre, intra, and post-procedure care of patients
- Assist in diagnostic procedures and complex invasive interventions
- Start IVs and access/de-access ports
- Administer conscious sedation and monitor sedated patients
- Handle and document specimens properly
- Work collaboratively with the Admitting nurse for home health needs or inpatient admissions
- Attend in-services and keep abreast of best practices and new technology
- Identify and communicate needed unit resources or equipment for budget
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience with IV placement
- Critical care experience (i.e., ICU, ED, PCU, Interventional/Cath Lab, Endoscopy, OR/PACU) preferred
- BSN preferred
