Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from an NLN-approved school of nursing
- 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience
- LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) – STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
- CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list – UNKNOWN Unknown Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation Upon Hire required
Responsibilities
- Fielding incoming referrals for Robotic Cardiovascular Surgery
- Evaluation of past medical records and candidacy for Cardiovascular Surgery
- Coordination of testing and appointments
- Patient and family education on procedures, diagnosis, and condition
- Post procedure communication and documentation to patient and referring care team
- Maintenance of robotics patient database and use of technology including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite resources
- Coordination of multi-disciplinary team for procedure efficiency
- Continuous education and academic advancement in robotic cardiovascular surgery
- Collaboration with inpatient team for post-procedure follow-up and discharge
- Cross coverage support with Structural Heart team
