Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
- Two years experience as a Registered Nurse
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
- Expertise and knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required
Responsibilities
- Administers the online occurrence reporting system
- Provides daily monitoring, investigating, and intervening in regards to occurrences
- Provides organization wide staff education for occurrence reporting
- Prepares and conducts risk analysis of serious and sentinel events
- Administers tracking and reporting for the federally-mandated Safe Medical Device Act
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Risk Management desirable
- A working knowledge of various codes, laws, rules and regulations concerning patient care and incident reporting, including those mandated by state and federal agencies helpful
