Requirements
- Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Management, Global Management, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role
- Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Management, Global Management, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role
- Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s degree) OR three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) with: financial agreements including International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA)/Credit Support Annex (CSA), Master Repurchase Agreement (MRA), or Master Securities Forward Transaction Agreement (MSFTA) agreements; regulatory risk rating requirements; financial modeling; and advanced Microsoft Excel including working with macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and IF/AND formulas.
Responsibilities
- Assess credit and financial strength of the firm’s financial Institution counterparts
- Perform fundamental credit analysis of both quantitative and qualitative credit risk factors
- Perform credit underwriting of lending transactions, contributing credit recommendations and support to the firm’s capital committee approval process
- Perform credit underwriting of derivative and funding transactions while ensuring appropriate documentation and risk mitigants to protect against default and minimize potential losses
- Approve transactions and opine on risk mitigation for Over-the-Counter (OTC) products
- Assess risk of transactions through reviews of quantitative models, portfolio analysis, stress testing
- Ensure appropriate documentation, risk mitigants, and limits to minimize defaults and maximize recoveries
- Recommend and defend internal and regulatory risk ratings for counterparts/transactions.
