Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a Revenue / Sales / Commercial Operations function or similar preferably in a mid-large organisation
  • Proficient in knowledge and understanding of report and dashboard building in Salesforce
  • Demonstrable track-record of supporting cross-functional change in a multi-cultural, and geographically distributed environment
  • Ambitious, entrepreneurial, pragmatic, commercial, highly analytical, clear communicator, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Excel at solving unstructured problems
  • Good understanding of Sales Compensation rules and practices
  • Ability to network internally to create solutions where none exist
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, especially Advanced Excel and/or SQL

Responsibilities

  • Lead on reporting and analysis for the commercial team
  • Be the lead for Salesforce reports and dashboards for the wider business
  • Partner with sales leaders to provide actionable insights and drive improvements
  • Help create a data-first approach in measuring success
  • Drive the development and maintenance of accurate sales forecasts to support strategic decision-making
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing and Finance teams to ensure all metrics are reported accurately
  • Analyze and advise on improvements in the pre-sales process, rep execution, data cleanliness, target attainment, and systems to boost productivity
  • Provide support to the commercial team on the sales process
  • Coordinate training for our sales team on salesforce changes, tools and product demos
  • Encourage strong cross-team/departmental communication and collaboration
  • Assists sales management in understanding processes bottlenecks and inconsistencies
  • Ensure the commercial team are following processes
  • Maintenance of our commercial systems – i.e. Salesforce
  • Ensure that the data entered into Salesforce by the sales team is correct and matches the terms in our contracts
  • Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts
  • Works with Finance to calculate the sales commission compensation on a quarterly basis
  • Create a process to track commissions by salesperson by liaising with the BI team
  • Works closely with the commercial operations manager to ensure a sales library is developed and maintained for efficient knowledge sharing and to ensure content governance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial experience in complex B2B sales or SAAS environment.
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management is a plus, but not essential
  • Experience with Data Visualisation tools e.g.: BI, Tableau is a plus
