Requirements
- High School Graduate
- Senior Student of a JRCRTE approved Respiratory Care Program required, bachelor’s degree preferred
- Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills
- Has a commitment to customer service
- Communicates effectively with all applicable customers and age groups
- Must possess ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently
Responsibilities
- Providing basic and advanced respiratory services to patients of all ages
- Performing routine respiratory clinical care, including medication administration, arterial puncture, breathing exercises and retraining, initiation and monitoring of oxygen therapy, impedance apnea monitors and pulse oximeters
- Performing critical care duties including the initiation of, management of, and discontinuation of mechanical ventilation
- Endotracheal intubation and airway care
- Attendance at announced cardiopulmonary and trauma resuscitations dependent upon the level of professional development attained
