Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED is required; BA/BS degree preferred
- A valid Driver’s License with no more than 5 points is required, NJS preferred
- 1-3 years experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities required, 3-5 years preferred
- 1-3 years experience supervising various levels of staff required, 3-5 years preferred
- Ability to participate in a minimum of 2 days of NJS Mandated DDD initial trainings during normal business hours upon hire
- Tuberculosis test required for most positions
- New Jersey State drug test screening is mandatory
Responsibilities
- Ensure the program provides the appropriate level of supervision for the people we support at all times.
- Oversee the financial systems of both the program as well as the people we support and ensure fiscal responsibility and integrity.
- Interview, hire, train and supervise all levels of staff including DSP’s and Assistant Supervisor.
- Work with the program nurse to ensure proper medical care and follow up including all medical appointments as well as medication administration for the people we support.
- Ensure a cooperative environment with family members as well as outside providers.
