Requirements
- Bachelor or Masters degree in engineering (chemical, environmental or similar) or science (chemistry, environmental or similar) by hire date
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the project of an analytical chemical lab
- Lead operations
- Operate and maintain equipment and lab instruments
- Process samples and take chemical measurements
- Collect scientific data in consultation with the PI and the postdocs
- Assist in conducting fieldwork associated with the large chemical monitoring project
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a lab setting with experience operating Atomic and Molecular Spectrometers (ICP, MPAES, DMA, FTIR), instrument maintenance and upkeep
- Solid evidence of research work experience preferably in pollutant/contaminant data collection and monitoring
- At least one year of professional work experience in environmental data analysis and coding
- Cumulative under/graduate GPA of at least 3.0
