Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, biological sciences, chemistry, or related field
- 1 year of relevant experience in biochemistry, molecular or cell biology
Responsibilities
- Study molecular mechanism of RNases related to human health and disease
- Collect data using appropriate lab experiments, procedures, and techniques
- Help maintain day-to-day functions of the lab
- Assist in establishing new experimental protocols
- Participate in novel research
- Engage in both independent and collaborative work
- Learn new techniques and self-manage projects
- Actively participate in weekly lab meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with plasmid cloning and protein purification
- Experience with organization, inventory, and record keeping
- Excellent organizational and communications skills (both verbal and written)
- Desire to work as part of a highly motivated team
