Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years’ experience in office, program or project administration including some experience in research compliance or in contract, grant, or research administration.
- Strong knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Assists in Research Development.
- Assists with drafting of newsletters.
- Scouts for funding opportunities.
- Curates and crafts compelling lists of grant proposals for distribution to faculty, often segmented by discipline or college.
- Coordinates inventory process and maintenance of business files.
- Acts as liaison between internal departments and external clients/vendors.
- Organizing meetings, events, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
- May serve as a liaison with financial, payroll, and/or human resources. May coordinate routine personnel activities and maintenance of personnel files and approve leave requests.
- Assists with planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring events.
- Develops financial and statistical analyses and summary reports. Composes correspondence. Assists with administration of unit, program, or project.
- Participates in the hiring and training of business staff and/or student workers.
