Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a very closely related field with major coursework in these areas
- Five (5) years collaborative experience post-degree
- Documented experience in project management in a research setting
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills, both oral and written
- Professional demeanor
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Read and write manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed conferences and journals.
- Advance collaborative projects with industry via the Machine Learning Laboratory’s industry affiliates partner program. Candidate should expect to spend one day per week on industry-facing projects.
- Present research findings in public forums.
- Collaborate with researchers and students at UT Austin.
- Organize seminars, workshops, and other research activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in a field related to computer science or computer engineering
- Ten (10) years collaborative experience post-degree
- Practical understanding of data privacy practices and laws to ensure privacy, confidentiality, security, and of IRB/Institutional approval processes.
