Requirements
- Clinician Investigators will have an MD or DO; Completion of Internal Medicine or IM-Peds Residency from an ACGME accredited program; and be board-certified/eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Fellowship training and/or a track record of independent funding is required.
- PhD Researchers will have a PhD in health services research, epidemiology, or a related field; and at least three years of collaborative research experience in a post-doctoral fellow and/or faculty position.
Responsibilities
- Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty member’s tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; obligations will include research, service and/or teaching or clinical practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a primary care research fellowship, health services research fellowship, clinical scholars program, or similar is preferred.
- Ideal candidates would have an established record of publishing their research and obtaining funding, outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills, affinity for mentoring others, capacity to build and maintain productive collaborations, and ability to build and sustain an independent program of research.
