Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, and 7+ years of equivalent domain-specific industry experience
  • 4+ Years research experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, computational statistics, applied mathematics, or related areas
  • Experience coding software and executing complex experiments
  • Experience with Python and PyTorch
  • Research experience in one or more of these areas: computer vision, multimodal perception, robotics, self-supervised representation learning, reinforcement learning and control

Responsibilities

  • Leading, collaborating, and executing on research that pushes forward the state of the art in artificial intelligence
  • Contributing to experimental design, implementation, evaluation, and reporting results
  • Working with and creating large datasets and evaluation benchmarks
  • Collaborating with scientists and engineers in a large cross-functional team
  • Building optimized software tooling and infrastructure to accelerate research outcomes
  • Influence progress of relevant research communities by producing publications
  • Open source high quality code and produce reproducible research
  • Mentor other engineers & researchers, and improve the quality of engineering work in the broader team

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Author-Contributed Research Publications in AI conferences like ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, CVPR, ICCV, CoRL, or similar
  • Demonstrated research and software engineering experience via work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (for example, GitHub)
  • Experience with C++, CUDA and model optimization
  • Experience developing efficient, scalable distributed systems and/or training pipelines
