Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible project coordination experience, preferably in a research setting.
  • Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications.
  • Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
  • Time management skills and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Screen and recruit participants in various studies.
  • Assist with Informed Consent process and ensure patient understanding of study requirements.
  • Perform study-related tests and procedures.
  • Collect and manage research data.
  • Track study participant’s progress throughout the study.
  • Monitor patient safety and report any issues to Principal Investigator and study team.
  • Assist with regulatory compliance following NYPQ policies and federal regulations.
  • Develop and edit educational materials for distribution.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
  • Ensure compliance with research protocols and regulations, and maintain effective communication with patients and their families.
  • Communicate updates and challenges and collaborate with the research study team and Principal Investigator to ensure successful execution of clinical trials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) Certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology is preferred.
  • Experience working in an Academic Medical Center preferred.
