Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration, or related field.
- Minimum of three years of progressively responsible project coordination experience, preferably in a research setting.
- Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications.
- Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
- Time management skills and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Screen and recruit participants in various studies.
- Assist with Informed Consent process and ensure patient understanding of study requirements.
- Perform study-related tests and procedures.
- Collect and manage research data.
- Track study participant’s progress throughout the study.
- Monitor patient safety and report any issues to Principal Investigator and study team.
- Assist with regulatory compliance following NYPQ policies and federal regulations.
- Develop and edit educational materials for distribution.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
- Ensure compliance with research protocols and regulations, and maintain effective communication with patients and their families.
- Communicate updates and challenges and collaborate with the research study team and Principal Investigator to ensure successful execution of clinical trials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) Certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology is preferred.
- Experience working in an Academic Medical Center preferred.
