Research Associate II

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field)
3+ years of related experience in engineering design and development
Solid technical understanding of engineering principles and procedures
Ability to articulate how your role ties into the function or discipline
Demonstration of application of engineering principles on individual/small projects
Experience with TQM methods (e.g. ‘six sigma’) is a plus

Collaborate with our cross-functional team to design, develop, and enhance new products and processes, leveraging your expertise in engineering principles and procedures.
Apply sound techniques to solve complex problems, making design recommendations that meet or exceed specifications.
Assess results, ensuring application, validity, and conformance to specifications, and recommend material and process specifications.
Utilize engineering tools, such as FMEA, Process Modeling, and Design of Experiments, to solve straightforward problems and drive process improvements.
Lead small project teams to accomplish project objectives, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Estimate project costs, including capital and cross-functional expenses, and estimate costs affected by design and/or policy changes.
Work with your supervisor to recommend capital expenditure and production methods for existing or enhanced products or processes.
Study and recommend techniques to improve existing products and processes, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Investigate new sources for raw materials or processes, staying ahead of the curve in terms of industry trends and best practices.
Formulate and recommend engineering policies and technical work in accordance with project and business objectives, in collaboration with your supervisor.
Provide supervision to technicians, mentoring and guiding them to achieve their full potential.
