Requirements
- PhD in molecular biology, genetics biochemistry, or related field.
- Training and expertise in methods for genome wide chromatin and gene expression analyses, such as bisulfite sequencing, ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, DNAse-seq, FAIRE and/or related methods.
- Experience with sequencing data analysis using custom scripts and packages in R, python, and/or bash.
- Experience with mammalian cell culture and tissue collection from animals.
- Strong publication record
- Experience establishing and maintaining strong working relationships and partnerships with colleagues and students.
- Excellent communication, planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work as a member of a diverse laboratory team.
- Ability to mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research into chromatin states present, and controlling gene expression patterns in mouse tissues and cultured cells, with a focus on elaborating chromatin changes arising from environmental perturbations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FACS.
