Requirements
- Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform Manufacturing / Repair Engineering Functions while supporting continuous repair operations.
- Assist Value Stream Managers in timely processing of customer components by working across business functions within the Repair Station and the external supporting groups.
- Implement and lead projects to improve the aftermarket repair process often by performing significant Capital Equipment purchases and improvement activities.
- Collaborate on design, facility layout and arrangement of machines and sequence of operations.
- Support and evaluate acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials.
- Interact with repair technicians on the vast variety of products repaired at this facility. Often troubleshooting and solving operational process problems or equipment already in use.
- Interact with customers on technical questions about the capabilities of the Repair Station and reviewing work performed on Customer units.
- Determine maintenance and repair materials required for continued operations.
- Data mining and data analysis including SAP, Excel and other operations specific data tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering
- 5-8 years of experience in electronic component repair, test, or troubleshooting—ideally in an aerospace or FAA-regulated environment.
- Experience in utilizing HP Basic and HP VEE for test automation and data acquisition in electronic systems.
- Knowledge of electronic engine management and environmental control systems, with emphasis on diagnostics and system integration.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, fostering open communication and joint problem-solving to meet technical and operational goals.
