Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3-6 years of insurance industry experience/expertise (reinsurer, insurance carrier or consulting firm)
- Must possess a foundational understanding of Reinsurance, P&C insurance, operations, and systems
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong interpersonal skills

- Exceptional analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience leading projects and demonstrating follow-through and execution
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Reinsurance Manager and Program Managers to support and facilitate the placement of program-specific reinsurance for Hippo and Spinnaker program business.
- Manage the contracting process, from initial drafting to final approval and execution.
- Monitor portfolio-level exposures, respond to events, and coordinate modeling both gross and net exposures for various programs.
- Develop and present complex ad-hoc reinsurance reports for executive management review.
- Serve as a reinsurance subject matter expert, acting as a liaison across the organization, collaborating with finance, underwriting, corporate risk, CAT modeling/analytics, claims, etc.
- Design and deliver market presentations for corporate reinsurance in partnership with reinsurance brokers, demonstrating quantitative analysis and critical thinking skills.
- Coordinate with Accounting, Reinsurance Operations, and Program Managers for document review, term implementation, and process coordination.
- Drive the successful fulfillment of mandatory state data submissions.
- Monitor and evaluate the financial strength and participation of Hippo and Spinnaker’s reinsurers.
