Requirements
- 3-5 years or more experience with experience on regulatory implementation, risk, and controls
- Knowledge of financial products including fixed income, equity and structured derivatives products
- Excellent analytical skills; proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of Alteryx and/or PowerBI is an advantage
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and drive change
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Positive attitude with ‘can-do’ approach
- Strong focus, drive and commitment to drive success of the team/firm
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Help to monitor and to implement new regulatory initiatives within UGM Americas
- Identifying and implementing areas for development within UGM Americas as they relate to regulatory implementation and/or business risk
- Act as an SME on the regulatory and operational risk framework for the UGM Americas business and other relevant key stakeholders
- Monitor and challenge the front to back control environment, making recommendations on controls design and operating effectiveness
- Identify and investigate operational risk events and track actions to resolution
- Support Operational Risk initiatives across UGM Americas and provide input for the ongoing development of them
- Provide support to Distribution COOs on various control improvement and remediation initiatives.
